Just a short blog about something which really bugs me….. business speak. Especially one phrase.
I am not a member of The Four Tops so don’t bloody ‘reach out’ to me. I hate that expression in business speak. In fact there are several phrases I dislike in business speak and ‘reaching out’ is the absolute worse. And where did it come from?
What it means is to make contact with, or get in touch with – that’s all. So just say that. I need to make contact with Joe Blogs. Not I am reaching out to Joe Blogs. It is just bollocks!
